The NADC Area dataset is a polygon that represents the designated area of the Northern Alberta Development Council. a council established on March 29, 1963 by an Act of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. The Council is mandated 'to investigate, monitor, evaluate, plan and promote practical measures to foster and advance general development in northern Alberta and to advise to Government accordingly' (Northern Alberta Development Council Act, 2000)

The Crown Land Reservations dataset displays reservations under application or active with their associated data attributes allowing users to view and access existing or proposed reservation information that could influence their application if a proposed activity intersects. Alberta Health monitors all supportive living and long-term care accommodations for compliance to the Accommodation Standards, the Resident and Family Councils Act (RFCA) and the Continuing Care Health Service Standards (CCHSS). The purpose of the Accommodation Standards is to ensure accommodations maintain a high quality of accommodation services (e.g. meals, building maintenance, security and housekeeping) that promote the safety, security and quality of life of Albertans living in those accommodations. The RFCA is intended to support residents and their families in establishing an effective Resident and Family Council. The CCHSS are a set of legislated, minimum standards that operators must comply with in the provision of health care (e.g., medication management, care planning, staff training). Description

This Seniors, Community and Social Services (SCSS) dataset describes the monthly Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) caseload in Alberta. The AISH program provides financial and health benefits to eligible adult Albertans with a permanent medical condition that prevents them from earning a living.   Caseloads are reported as the actual volume each month and by the Alberta government’s fiscal year. Depending on an individual’s situation, some AISH benefits may also be provided for a spouse or partner and dependent children.   Monthly caseloads are also shown as a portion of the entire Alberta population; and by gender, age, primary medical condition, family composition, employment participation and six service delivery regions across the province.   For locations of AISH delivery regions, choose the Alberta Seniors, Community and Social Services Regions Map within the Resources section.
