Description

This dataset tracks the percentage of students who completed any credential program at an Alberta publicly funded post-secondary institution within the expected completion timeline (typical duration of the program plus an additional three years). This rate is calculated based on the number of completers and the total number of students in the starting cohort. It is determined at both the sector and institution levels for all students, including full-time students.

Description

This data set includes five years of historical enrolment by Full Load Equivalents (FLE) in Alberta post-secondary system and projected FLEs for a ten year projection horizon. The FLE is measured by taking the load of the learner enrolled (instructional hours + practicum hours) and dividing by the full load of that program. This results in a comparable metric to be able to use across the system. The FLE calculation is consistent for every institution and program. Alberta Advanced Education's (AE) projection model uses historical enrolment data and population projections from Alberta Treasury Board and Finance as inputs to the model.

This report presents the number of student enrolments by French program type, authority, school, and grade, and is sourced from the end of June for each school year. A summary of enrolments in each program type since 1988, as well as graphs, are also included. Ce rapport présente le nombre d’élèves inscrits par type de programme de langue française, par autorité scolaire, par école et par niveau scolaire. Il a été élaboré à partir des données disponibles à la fin de juin de chaque année scolaire. Le rapport inclut également un résumé des inscriptions pour chaque type de programme, à parti de 1988, et des graphiques.

This statistic describes headcounts (unique learners) by institution and academic year within Alberta's publicly-funded post-secondary education system. Headcounts represent the number of students enrolled, and are unique to each level reported, therefore summing up multiple values to "combine" values may lead to double counting, as students can be counted in multiple rows. The data tables presented are related to enrolments in approved programs at publicly-funded post-secondary institutions within Alberta. Separate data files exist focusing on the system level, or for subsets that focus on either international or self-identified Indigenous learners.

The set of statistics in these datasets describe the Full Load Equivalent (FLE) by each institution and academic year within Alberta's publicly funded post-secondary education system. This data set reflects child care programs in Alberta licensed under the Child Care Licensing Act (prior to February 2021) and under the Early Learning and Child Care Act (February 2021 and after).   Data prior to February 2021 included reflects child care programs in Alberta licensed under the Child Care Licensing Act. Program types under the Child Care Licensing Act included day care programs, out-of-school care programs, preschool programs, group family child care, family day homes (approved by a licensed family day home agency), and innovative child care programs.   In February 2021, child care licensing changed from program-based to facility-based under the Early Learning and Child Care Act.
