The Learning and Technology Policy Framework is proposed to provide direction and coordination for the use of technology in Alberta’s learning system. The Framework will inform Ministry decisions by: - establishing a context for the assessment of trends, needs, best practices, and new initiatives. - ensuring that investment in technology is consistent with learning system objectives/priorities and optimizes benefits to learners. - clarifying Ministry and stakeholder roles in the area of technology.

Requirements contained in this document apply to grades 1-12 special education in public and separate school boards, including Francophone regional education authorities, but excluding charter schools, in accordance with Ministerial Order 015/2004 and are effective September 1, 2004. Standards for Special Education, Amended June 2004 supports Alberta Learning's Business Plan goal to have high quality learning opportunities that ensure the learning system meets the needs of all learners and society.

Dans ce document, des pratiques d’enseignement uniformes et de plus grande qualité sont préconisées pour les élèves de notre province, de sorte que, peu importe où se situent les élèves, les élèves ayant des besoins scolaires spéciaux puissent avoir accès à des programmes et à des services pertinents.
