It is developed collaboratively by Alberta Health, Alberta Infrastructure and Alberta Health Services, in accordance with the priorities outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the three parties and under the guidance of a Joint Steering Committee. This manual supersedes the Health Capital Planning Manual, 3rd Edition.

It allows the Government of Canada, the First Nations Health Consortium and Government of Alberta to address gaps, and share information ensuring that children and families in Alberta are receiving the supports they need, including mental health supports, medical equipment, speech therapy, and educational supports.
