Alberta Environment oil and gas remediation and reclamation advisory committee : recommendations to Minister

Description

The Alberta government has developed a new reclamation program that is designed to strengthen the approach to contaminant management and enhances capacity needed to deal with an increasing workload in conventional oil and gas decommissioning. the old wellsite inquiry process has been replaced by a combination of technical review of applications and post-certification field audits. Use of specialists is encouraged for the first two years of the new program and, thereafter will be required.
