This Children's Services dataset provides an overview of the number of children and youth receiving post-intervention support through the Supports for Permanency (SFP) Program, by Sex. The program provides financial support to families who adopt or obtain private guardianship of children in permanent government care.   The data shows the average monthly number of children and youth in the province who are receiving post-intervention support through the SFP program. More specifically, it shows the numbers by sex with historical information dating back ten years.   Information is available through the links listed below as aggregate data in excel, as visualizations in CI Interactive Data Tool and as descriptions of data fields and elements in the Data Dictionary.

This Children's Services dataset provides an overview of the number of Indigenous and non-Indigenous children and youth achieving a permanency outcome. The child intervention system is part of Alberta’s system of support for families that encourages good outcomes for children and youth.   Child intervention services are focused on the well-being of children, supporting families to be healthy, and ensuring children grow up in safe and nurturing homes. Intervention services are provided when there are concerns that a child or youth is being neglected or abused by their parent or guardian, with the goal of keeping families together (family preservation), returning children home safely (family reunification), or finding other permanent homes through legal permanency (adoption and private guardianship) for children as quickly as possible.   The data shows the total number of permanency outcomes in the province for each fiscal year dating back ten years.
