Description

This Regulation exempts individuals who hold radio operator certificates under the Radiocommunication Act (Canada) and others from those sections of the Traffic Safety Act that prohibit distracted driving. The manner in which a cellular phone or a radio communication device may be use in "hands-free mode" is specified.

Description

The Fuel Tax Transitional Regulation came into force on April 1, 2007, concurrent with a new Fuel Tax Act. The Regulation establishes various transitional provisions regarding the application of the former Act and new Act with respect to remittance requirements of tax collected under the former Act, duties of persons collecting tax on behalf of the Crown, eligibility for refunds, rebates and grants with respect to fuel purchased or used at the time the former Act was in force, and the continuation of certain identification cards, certificates and appointments provided under the former Act.
