Apprenticeships combine on-the-job training and work experience with technical training provided at or through a post-secondary institution – usually a college or technical institute. This curriculum guide describes the expected learning outcomes of the technical training component of the sheet metal worker apprenticeship. Curriculum guides are used by post-secondary institutions in the development of their curriculum.

Every 2 years graduates of apprenticeship programs are surveyed about their satisfaction with their program and their labour market experiences. This report covers findings for graduates of the 2020/21 academic year. Satisfaction with various aspects of the program such as on-the job learning, classroom instruction and interaction with Client Services staff are included as well as employment status, earnings and relatedness of employment to their apprenticeship program. This year apprentices in their first period of training were also surveyed about their experiences and satisfaction with their program.

Alberta Education conducts a set of annual telephone and online surveys to obtain feedback from education system partners regarding their perceptions of Alberta's education system. Respondents for the 2021/22 survey include senior high school students, self-identified First Nations, Métis and Inuit high school students, parents of students in the Early Childhood Services (ECS) to Grade 12 education system, parents of self-identified First Nations, Métis and Inuit students, parents of students with severe disabilities, teachers in the ECS to Grade 12 system, principals, school board trustees, and the general public. This record contains the survey instruments used in the 2021/22 survey.
