Calgary’s Bearspaw South Feeder Main experienced significant failures on June 5, 2024, and Dec. 30, 2025. The Minister of Municipal Affairs appointed David Goldie, an independent consultant to conduct a municipal inspection under the Municipal Government Act. The inspection focused on the management, administration and operations of the City of Calgary with respect to the Bearspaw South Feeder Main.
