Description
The Alberta Senate Election Act provides a process for Alberta voters to elect Senate nominees in conjunction with a provincial or municipal election, in a standalone process or with a referendum. Once Senate nominees are elected, their names are provided to the King’s Privy Council for Canada for consideration when filling Senate vacancies.
