Affirming francophone education, foundations and directions : a framework for French first language education in Alberta

This document presents a description of the educational needs of francophone students, of their families and communities. It identifies the expected outcomes for francophone education and the conditions that must be met to ensure these outcomes are achieved. It describes the educational project at the very core of francophone education and emphasizes the importance of the school-family-community partnership in achieving this project. This document is intended for all who are involved in the planning, implementation and administration of francophone education: department officials, parents, researchers, school administrators, teachers and trustees.
