Dam and canal safety guidelines

Description

The purpose of the regulation is to promote the safety of dams and canals primarily to prevent loss of life, and secondly, economic losses due to failure of these structures. These guidelines provide information as to how the regulation is administered by the Dam Safety and Water Projects Branch of Alberta Environmental Protection. These guidelines were originally published in February 1979 and updated in January 1983.
