Description

Contains materials to assist applicants to the Emerging Resources Program. The program is designed to encourage industry to open up new oil and gas resources in higher-risk and higher-cost areas that have large resource potential. Wells that receive program benefits will pay a flat royalty rate of five per cent until their combined revenue equals their combined program specific cost allowances. After that, wells will be subject to normal royalty rates under the Modernized Royalty Framework.

Contains materials to assist applicants to the Enhanced Hydrocarbon Recovery Program. The program is designed to encourage incremental production through enhanced recovery methods and generate additional royalties and other benefits to Albertans. Enhanced recovery methods involve the injection of various materials into an oil or gas pool in order to increase hydrocarbon production from existing developments.

Revenue sources reported on include: natural gas & by-product royalty; conventional oil royalty; oil sands royalty; coal royalty; bonuses & sales of crown leases; and rentals & fees. As noted, the numbers are unaudited and can change when the final actual resources are reported.
