The Plains, Northern, Foothills Boundary feature class contains polygon features representing Department of Energy Regional Boundaries for the Province of Alberta. The Alberta Regional Boundaries divide Alberta into the Plains Region, Northern Region, and Foothills Region, for administration of Petroleum and Natural Gas Licences. A petroleum and natural gas licence is issued for an initial term of two years if it is located in the Plains Region, four years in the Northern Region, and five years in the Foothills Region.

(StatCan Product) This information product has been customized to present information on labour force estimates by sex, age groups, education level, and immigrant status for Canada and provinces from 1996 to 2013 using annual averages. NOTE: Table cells showing "0.0" refer to estimates that are suppressed (cannot be published) because they are below the confidentiality threshold. Given that the Labour Force Survey is a sample survey, estimates relating to very specific, detailed geographic areas, industry or occupation groups are subject to higher variability due to small sample size. The confidentiality threshold is 1,500 for Canada, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia; less than 500 for Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan; and less than 200 for Prince Edward Island. To better understand the size and characteristics of these visitors, Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation commissioned Research Resolutions & Consulting to prepare a special analyses of the Travel Survey of Residents of Canada (TSRC) and the International Travel Survey (ITS) that are both conducted by Statistics Canada.
