For the current study, air quality surveys were conducted in the vicinity of eleven gas plants and industrial areas in the area of Caroline and Rocky Mountain House. The objectives of the monitoring were twofold: to identify and determine the concentrations of air pollutants near industrial facilities in the survey area; and to support ongoing work of the regional compliance and approval staff.

Alberta Environment, as the department responsible for the administration of the Water Act, monitors and audits for compliance, and enforces the Code of Practice requirements. This guide is intended to assist those responsible for watercourse crossing in meeting their obligations and requirements under the Code of Practice.
