The Small Community Opportunity Program provides grants between $20,000 and $100,000 for Indigenous and small communities, and non-profits they work with, to build capacity in agriculture, local economic development and small business supports. The two programs were established to assist municipalities where taxes related to requisitioned amounts cannot be collected from property owners.

In accordance with section 792.1 of the Insurance Act, the Alberta Superintendent of Insurance has adopted and issued the following Guidelines of the federal Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI Guidelines), including future revisions, for provincially incorporated Property and Casualty Insurers, Life Insurers and Reciprocal Insurance Exchanges, either formed under the Insurance Act, or who have transferred to Alberta such that Alberta is their primary regulator (collectively known as “provincially regulated insurance entities”).
