This guideline contains information for injured motorists, insurers, lawyers, and primary health care practitioners (physicians, chiropractors, and physical therapists) regarding the application of the Diagnostic and Treatment Protocols Regulation (DPTR), as well as claims and billing processes for claimants treated under the DTPR. The over-riding objective of the DTPR is to ensure that people who are injured in accidents receive early and effective treatment to support their recovery.
