Reuse of treated wastewater for hydraulic fracturing may be a reasonable and preferable alternative to use of potable water or water from streams and shallow aquifers, and wastewater reuse will be considered and supported as a water supply option during development of an alternative water use policy for the oil and gas industry, and in the development of a broader set of reuse policy directives.
