The Employment Standards Tool Kit provides employers with comprehensive up-to-date information on minimum employment standards in Alberta. Employers can find detailed information and examples of how employment standards rules apply to them, their employees and their businesses. Module 3 discusses maximum allowable hours of work in a day, mandatory rest periods and clarification on what is considered hours of work.
