This ministerial order extends the time period for the by-election for the positions of mayor and three councillors for the City of Chestermere that are vacant from the dismissals, from 180 days to 240 days from the signing of Ministerial Order No. MSD: 076/23; 2. Also extends the time period to hold a by-election to fill the vacancy from a councillor resignation that occurred on December 15, 2023 from 120 days to 229 days after the vacancy occurred.

Amend ministerial order No. MSD:002/23, ordered pursuant to Section 574 of the Municipal Government Act, as follows: 1. That the deadline for the completion of Directive 5f is extended to July 31, 2024; 2. That the council for the City of Chestermere, following the restoration of council quorum, is required to provide to the Minister, no later than September 30, 2024, a plan for the completion of the following Directives: a. Directive 1, b. Directive 3a, c. Directive 3b, d. Directive 6a, e. Directive 6b, f. Directive 7, and g. Directive 11; 3. That the deadlines for the completion of the Directives included in section 2 of this order are extended to January 31, 2025.
