Each annual report summarizes the fire season from a synoptic weather perspective, highlighting the weather conditions that lead up to extreme fire danger. Changes to the weather section and new instruments being implemented are also covered. The reports are produced by meteorologists from the Alberta Wildfire Coordination Centre.

Police officers commonly face situations that put them at higher risk for injury. Identifying preventable risk factors for occupational musculoskeletal injuries provides the opportunity to decrease work-related injuries. The objectives of this study were to determine the incidence of musculoskeletal injury in the police officers of the Edmonton Police Service, to gain understanding of the patterns of injury occurrence, and to determine whether there are differences in physical fitness among police officers who become injured and those who do not.
