The Red Tape Reduction Regulation supports and operationalizes key aspects of the Act by: - establishing rules and procedures for Ministries pertaining to regulatory requirement reductions necessary to achieve and maintain a no net increase outcome; - clarifying Ministry reporting requirements to support the development of the RTR Annual Report; - setting out the principles that Ministers must consider when developing new regulatory requirements or reviewing existing requirements; and - setting out exemptions for regulatory instruments or requirements that will be excluded from RTR initiatives and no net increase requirements.
