Ministerial order to adopt the detailed and all-inclusive estimate of the 2024 budget for Improvement District No. 12 be adopted. Also orders that the rates of taxation on the assessed value of property as shown on the assessment roll be levied as set out in the ministerial order; sets the minimum amount payable as property tax for general municipal taxes; sets the date on which current penalties will be imposed on outstanding taxes; and sets an arrears penalty to be added to all tax arrears unpaid on January 1, 2025.

In Alberta, equalized assessment is the means of comparing property wealth in a uniform manner for all municipalities. Alberta uses an ad valorem assessment and tax system where property taxes are based on wealth and wealth is measured by the value of property expressed as an assessment. Equalizing an assessment is simply a process of adjusting each municipality's taxable assessment to a common year in accordance with current legislation and policy. The equalization process results in a common provincial assessment base that is used to determine the amount of requisition for each requisitioning body.

Alberta uses an ad valorem assessment and tax system where property taxes are based on wealth and wealth is measured by the value of property expressed as an assessment. Equalizing an assessment is simply a process of adjusting each municipality's taxable assessment to a common year in accordance with current legislation and policy. The equalization process results in a common provincial assessment base that is used to determine the amount of requisition for each requisitioning body.
