The Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP) launched in April 2023 and is a five-year framework, with a cost-shared federal-provincial investment of $508 million over five years towards strategic programs and services for the agriculture and agri-food industry in Alberta. The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation committed to following up with stakeholders in the fall of 2023 to identify if gaps and opportunities can be addressed through program changes in year two, beginning April 2024. Input from the Sustainable CAP stakeholder engagement has helped inform program adjustments that will enable the framework to best serve Alberta’s agriculture sector.

This document summarizes what was heard from participants and presenters during the Indigenous Primary Health Care Innovation Forum, held in Edmonton on January 10 and 11, 2023. The purpose of the forum was to discuss current challenges in Alberta's primary health care system for First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples, and to identify innovative solutions from other jurisdictions to address these challenges. Results of the forum will also inform inform the Indigenous Primary Health Care Advisory Panel's final report to the Minister of Health.

Surface water quality management frameworks are a key component of Alberta's cumulative effects management system. These frameworks are designed to monitor, evaluate and proactively manage the cumulative effects of human activity on ambient surface water quality in Alberta's major rivers. The frameworks do not replace existing regulatory processes, but rather add to and complement existing policies, legislation, regulations and management tools.
