Did you know that September 24-28 this year is Right to Know Week in Canada? Canada celebrates this week every year to raise awareness of a citizen’s right to access public information. In the spirit of open government and transparency, the Alberta Open Government Portal provides access to government data and information.
An important part of Right to Know Week is Right to Know Day, which originated on September 28, 20002. Right to Know Day is a day dedicated to promoting freedom of information around the world.
