Description

This report describes the properties of the surface and subsoil of the various soil types, and gives the fertility invoice of the principal areas in the Milk River region in the southeast corner of Alberta. It describes the topography, drainage, water supply, and alkali problems of the area. Methods of soil management and possible utilization of the area are discussed. It also contains a brief discussion of the climate and agricultural development of the area, together with the important farm crops and transportation facilities.
