The regulation sets out the assessment and tax framework for implementing the community revitalization levy. The revenue raised by this levy is used to pay for public infrastructure, servicing and other costs associated with the revitalization.

Description

The Regulation includes a number of provisions respecting matters that fall under Part 2 of the Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Education Act, including the administration of certification standards and requirements and the issuance of trade certificates and endorsements by the Administrator for Designated Trades. The Regulation also provides further details about the functions of the Alberta Board of Skilled Trades and its Board Committees which include the establishment of the undertakings and activities and the certification standards and requirements for each designated trade and branch of a designated trade. The Regulation includes two schedules: Schedule 1 lists each designated trade and branch of designated trade; and Schedule 2 sets out the restricted activities and classes of individuals to perform the restricted activities in each designated trade and branch of designated trade.
