City of Edmonton Belvedere Community Revitalization Levy Regulation

Description

This regulation establishes the Belvedere Area as a community revitalization area and allows the city to place a community revitalization levy against any incremental assessment growth on properties within the area, for the 20 year duration of the regulation. The program provides a tax subsidy to the municipality in the form of education property taxes. The regulation sets out the assessment and tax framework for implementing the community revitalization levy. The revenue raised by the levy is used to pay for public infrastructure, servicing and other costs associated with the revitalization.
