The Premier's Council on Charities and Civil Society was established in February 2020 to provide advice to government on its relationship with civil society organizations that are addressing pressing social issues in Alberta. This report reflects analysis of input received from civil society partners during engagement sessions held between late September to late November 2022, and offers advice on how civil society and government can work together to address challenges faced by civil society.

The Council is accountable to the Premier, through the Minister of Community and Social Services. The Council develops its strategic plan on a three-year cycle.
