The Employment Standards Tool Kit provides employers with comprehensive up-to-date information on minimum employment standards in Alberta. Employers can find detailed information and examples of how employment standards rules apply to them, their employees and their businesses. Module 1 provides an overview to the Employment Standards Code, who is covered, the core standards and your basic responsibilities as an employer in Alberta. The Employment Standards Tool Kit provides employers with comprehensive up-to-date information on minimum employment standards in Alberta. Employers can find detailed information and examples of how employment standards rules apply to them, their employees and their businesses. Module 8 discusses job-protected leaves that are available to employees, who is eligible, and what kind of notice is needed to take different leaves. Description

The purpose of this guideline is to outline program requirements and eligibility criteria for interested participants, employers and providers for the Workplace Training Program. This is a participant-centred program that provides employer-delivered incremental training, work-site training and paid work experience for participants to obtain and maintain a job that would not otherwise occur. The objective of the program is to assist participants who are unemployed to acquire workplace and occupation-related skills required in the local labour market, and to obtain and maintain sustainable employment.

The Alberta is Calling: Moving Bonus is a refundable tax credit of $5,000 for up to 2,000 eligible individuals who move to Alberta between May 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024, work in an eligible occupation and meet all remaining criteria. These application guidelines provide program information and eligibility requirements.
