Financial statement analysis is important to boards, managers, government, researchers, lenders and others who make decisions about the financial health of the regional health authorities. Since the number of regional health authorities was reduced from 17 to nine in April 2003, financial information from 1997 to 2007 is reported on an aggregate basis only.
