This regulation empowers the Administrator to issue certificates of competency required to receive specific permits under the Permit Regulation. Certificates of competency covered by this regulation include: private sewage installer; master electrician; and restricted master electrician, and rural wireman - grandfathering.

Description

The Domestic Cervid Industry Regulation, under the Livestock Industry Diversification Act, applies exclusively to domestic cervids (elk, moose, and deer). Domestic cervids that are farmed are distinct from cervids that are considered wildlife. The licensing process and import, export, and stray killing permitting processes are outlined. Registration procedures and identification methods of domestic cervids are outlined. Requirements are described for record retention of acquisition, disposition and transportation records. Specific provisions for removal and tagging of velvet antler are described. Damage liability and allowable capture expenses for stray domestic cervids are also set out in the Regulation.

It defines a Metis community for the purposes of membership in the Provincial Police Advisory Board and defines regional governance zones for the purposes of regional policing committees. The regulation also sets limits on the number of appointees for municipal police commissions and provides a transitional clause to allow time for commissions to reduce the size of the commission to the prescribed number.

This Act establishes maximum electric energy rates that may be charged to regulated rate customers (as defined in the Rate of Last Resort Regulation) or specified customers of the City of Medicine Hat, during a four-year period beginning on June 1, 2017. The Act contemplates regulations to provide payments from the Minister to regulated rate option providers or to the City of Medicine Hat of the difference between amounts that would have been charged to these customers using the regulated rate or equivalent, and the amounts charged using the maximum rate(s) specified in the Act.
