This addendum outlines Forest Management Plan-specific ground rules which apply to Forest Management Unit E08. These rules are in addition to the Alberta Timber Harvest Planning and Operating Ground Rules 2023. Where a rule in the addendum and a rule in the provincial OGR relate to the same subject matter or objective, the rule in the addendum governs. FMP-specific addendums are supplemental to the OGRs and will be negotiated with the applicable FMA holder where additional ground rules are needed to address specific strategies in an FMP or unique physical or non-physical landscape attributes.

The Scaling Standards of Alberta provides the standards of measurement used to determine the quantity and quality of timber harvested in Alberta. In addition, the standards provide information about compiling and reporting harvest data and describes non-standard scale methods used to estimate volumes of decked and stacked timber. These standards are authorized and posted under sections 2(1) and 2(2) of the Forests (Ministerial) Regulation, pursuant to Section 5(e) of the Forests Act.
