The report and accompanying map describe the properties of the surface and subsoil of the various types, topography, drainage, crop adaptation, water supply, fertility invoice of the soils, system of farming and methods of soil management, alkali and irrigation problems in the Macleod region in the southwestern part of Alberta. It also contains a brief discussion of the climate and agricultural development of the area together with the important farm crops, transportation facilities and population.
