The Alberta Government monitors compliance of forestry-related legislation, regulations and policy directives. Government is required to report all contraventions and non-compliance by disclosing the name of the person or company who has broken the law or specific conditions, the municipality in which the person resides or the company is located, a description of the contravention, and the amount of the penalty.

This document is in alignment with The Government of Alberta's policy on consultation with First Nations on land and natural resource management, 2013 and associated 2014 Guidelines, and The Government of Alberta's policy on consultation with Metis settlements on land and natural resource management, 2015 and associated 2016 Guidelines.
