This addendum outlines Forest Management Plan-specific ground rules which apply to the Weyerhaeuser Pembina FMA. These rules are in addition to the Alberta Timber Harvest Planning and Operating Ground Rules 2023. Where a rule in the addendum and a rule in the provincial OGR relate to the same subject matter or objective, the rule in the addendum governs. FMP-specific addendums are supplemental to the OGRs and will be negotiated with the applicable FMA holder where additional ground rules are needed to address specific strategies in an FMP or unique physical or non-physical landscape attributes.

This addendum outlines Forest Management Agreement-specific ground rules which apply to the Manning Forest Products FMA. These rules are in addition to the Alberta Timber Harvest Planning and Operating Ground Rules 2022. Where a rule in the Addendum and a rule in the Provincial OGR relate to the same subject matter or objective, the rule in the Addendum governs. FMA specific addendums are supplemental to the OGRs and will be negotiated with the applicable FMA holder where additional ground rules are needed to address specific strategies in an FMP or unique physical or non-physical landscape attributes. These are meant to be a small list related to specific FMP requirements and not a preferred deviation or exceptions from the provincial OGRs.

Forest company forest management plans (FMPs) detail when, where and how timber on Alberta Crown land will be managed in order to balance social, economic and environmental needs based on input from the public, Indigenous peoples and interest groups. The forest management planning area under consideration is FMA 0900045 allocated to Mercer Peace River Pulp Ltd. The FMP covers Forest Management Unit P19 located entirely within the Upper and Lower Peace Land-Use Framework planning regions in northern Alberta; it falls within the Dry Mixedwood, Central Mixedwood, Upper Boreal Highlands and Lower Boreal Highlands natural subregions.
