The Forum of Federal, Provincial and Territorial Ministers Responsible for Seniors has been working to address the social and economic impacts of ageism on older adults in Canada. This "What We Heard" report summarizes input received from the Forum-led roundtable consultations and stakeholder-led consultations. The input received during these consultations will inform a subsequent report that will propose approaches, initiatives, and strategies to address ageism in Canada.

On June 8th, 2021, the Federal, Provincial and Territorial Forum of Ministers Responsible for Seniors hosted a virtual stakeholder symposium on the future of aging in Canada. With help from national partner organizations, the Symposium explored four key themes: technology to support seniors aging in community; research and innovation in healthy aging; addressing and preventing elder abuse; and emerging best practices in supports for seniors and responding to social isolation.
