Presents the quarterly job vacancy information of Alberta, by industry and by occupation. Based on data from the quarterly Government of Canada's Job Vacancy and Wage Survey (JVWS). The JVWS replaces the monthly collection of job vacancies through the Survey of Employment, Payrolls and Hours (SEPH), which has been discontinued. This shift in data sources contributed to the gap in reporting between 2018 and 2022.

The intent is also to spur discussion amongst stakeholders regarding the direction government is taking in addressing labour force development issues. The document provides a concise overview of labour market issues in Alberta and, where appropriate, places them in a national or global context. It also addresses selected groups in the labour market and discusses the contribution they can make to meet the challenges facing the labour market.
