Description

An all-party Ministerial Panel on Child Intervention was appointed to explore ways to improve Alberta's child death review system and strengthen the intervention system. During Phase 1 of its work, the Panel provided detailed recommendations to streamline and strengthen the child death review process. Based on these recommendations, government passed Bill 18: The Child Protection and Accountability Act. This document looks at how various parts of Bill 18 address the recommendations made by the Panel.

The meetings in Switzerland, Germany, France and the United Kingdom were focused on strategic relationship development in support of research and innovation priorities, as well as product development capacity-building for Alberta small and medium enterprises. The meetings centered on investment attraction, increasing global market access and support for Campus Alberta’s international interests. The mission was also designed to advance cabinet mandate priority initiatives of education and entrepreneurship and expanded market access.
