Presents results of a study aiming to explore the lived experiences of English language learning working women as they relate to health and safety. Study findings contribute to an evidence-based understanding of workplace psychosocial hazards to the wellbeing and health of English language learner women workers. The overall goal of the study was to consider how to mitigate and prevent harm caused by workplace psychosocial hazards and explore if there are workplace hazards that may disproportionately impact ELL women workers.

Social isolation is a silent reality experienced by many seniors, and particularly new immigrant and refugee seniors. This resource is intended to heighten awareness and sensitivity and help organizations, friends, family members, and communities address the particular social needs of these seniors, many of whom may be unable to communicate their concerns to others. This resource is meant to supplement the two volume set Social Isolation of Seniors previously developed by the Federal/Provincial/Territorial Ministers Responsible for Seniors.

This report describes the results of a telephone survey conducted in 2012 of recent immigrants to Alberta concerning their experiences with settlement services in the province, their information needs, and their economic and social integration outcomes. The goal was to provide an evidence‐base to guide decisions about the scope and character of future settlement services in Alberta.
