Description

In 1957 the soil survey section of the Research Council of Alberta continued its program of exploratory soil surveys by helicopter. Information gathered by these surveys can be used to determine timber possibilities, for outlining the areas which may be suitable for future agricultural development, and for the planning of roads which could be utilized for mineral prospecting and other developments. During 1957 the exploratory soil survey covered Alberta map sheets 74-D, 84-A, 84-B, and the east half of 84-C.
