The funding was in addition to base nutrition funding allocated to public, separate, francophone and interested charter school authorities.

Each year, the Government of China provides a number of scholarships enabling residents of Alberta to study in China. Alberta high school graduates, post-secondary students and scholars wishing to participate in Chinese language studies, academic study at the undergraduate or graduate level, or research are all eligible. The language of instruction is primarily Chinese, but a limited number of programs are offered in English. The program may also sponsor and recommend remedial Chinese language studies for applicants who are not applying for the Chinese language study program.

This series of fact sheets was created to support an understanding of Alberta's new K-6 curriculum by explaining the six subjects and three key learning themes that are applied across all subjects and grades. The six subjects are: English language arts and literature, mathematics, physical education and wellness, French first language and literature, French immersion language arts and literature and science. The three key learning themes that span all grades in the final K-6 curriculum are: literacy, numeracy and practical skills. More fact sheets will be added as the new K-6 curriculum is finalized.

Cette série de fiches d’information a été créée afin de faciliter la compréhension du nouveau curriculum M à 6 de l’Alberta en expliquant les six matières et les trois thèmes clés d’apprentissage qui s’appliquent à l’ensemble des matières et des niveaux scolaires. Les six matières sont les suivantes : English Language Arts and Literature, Mathématiques, Éducation physique et bienêtre, Français langue première et littérature, Français immersion et littérature et Sciences. Les trois thèmes clés d’apprentissage qui s’appliquent à tous les niveaux scolaires dans la version définitive du curriculum M à 6 sont les suivants : la littératie, la numératie et les habiletés pratiques.
