WMU 203 aerial ungulate survey : 2018

Description

Presents the results of an aerial survey of mule deer, white-tailed deer and moose in Wildlife Management Unit 203 from Jan. 15 to 18, 2018. Aerial surveys are the primary method used to assess the population size, distribution, population trends and herd composition of ungulates in Alberta. This information supports the effective management and conservation of ungulates, and is used to set hunting licence allocations, identify areas with agricultural depredation problems, and determine priority areas for recovery actions.
