Winter soil evaluations

Description

Before pipeline construction is begun, a soil evaluation is required in support of a Development and Reclamation application where arable land, potentially arable land, or pasture land is disturbed. This information letter presents the issues and policy for winter soil evaluations, which should only be conducted when a summer evaluation is not possible.
