Veterinary Profession Act

Description

The Veterinary Profession Act (VPA) establishes the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA) as the self-governing professional regulatory organization that is responsible for the registration, licensure, regulation and discipline of registered veterinarians and animal health technologists in Alberta. The VPA sets out the scope of veterinary practice for ABVMA members and contains provisions regarding membership application, registration, practice review, conduct and discipline.
