Description

This document reported the final cost awards issued by the Natural Resources Conservation Board (NRCB) regarding Application No. 9103 submitted by Three Sisters Golf Resorts Inc. for a recreational and tourism development in the town of Canmore, Alberta. The project included golf courses, hotels, residential housing and commercial buildings. The NRCB held a public hearing in 1992 to assess the social, economic and environmental impacts of the proposed development. The Board determined eligibility for intervener funding under the NRCB Act and awarded final costs to several directly affected groups, including the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS), Bow Valley Women's Resource Centre, Bow Corridor Organization for Responsible Development (BowCORD), Alberta Wilderness Association (AWA), Bow Valley Naturalists, Trout Unlimited Group and an individual resident. The Board emphasized the importance of coordination among interveners and evaluated the reasonableness of legal and expert costs.
