Description
The ministry coordinates an online survey of Albertans on topics related to the work of the ministry. Sport and recreation topics covered in the survey include: participation in organized sport, participation in active recreation, volunteering for sport and recreation organizations, bullying and harassment resource awareness, and concussion resource access.

- Following the creation of the ministries of Tourism and Sport and Arts, Culture and Status of Women in June 2023, each ministry conducted separate surveys related to topics related to the work of their respective ministries. - Caution is advised when comparing multiple years of survey data, as the survey methodology and questionnaire may have changed.
- Prior to 2022, the Survey of Albertans was conducted as a telephone-only survey. In 2022, an online survey component was introduced for the Survey of Albertans. The telephone and online survey data are not comparable, due to different surveying methodologies.
