Description

Developed by the Farmers' Advocate Office, this information sheet provides information to help landowners understand their rights in relation to material extraction pits on their land. The rights to surface materials (sand, gravel, clay, and marl) are owned by the holder(s) of the Certificate of Title. These materials can be extracted through a surface excavation referred to as a "pit."
