Report to Government : recommendations on provincial firearms policy

Description

The Government of Alberta established the Alberta Firearms Advisory Committee to provide recommendations on how Alberta can better assert areas of provincial jurisdiction and respect law-abiding Albertans’ long history of responsible firearms ownership, as well as to protect their property rights. The committee was also asked to make recommendations on how a chief provincial firearms officer can strengthen the administration of the firearms program in Alberta, improving services for responsible, licensed firearms owners.
