RAI-MDS 2.0 quality indicator interpretation guide

Description

Alberta Health captures Resident Assessment Instrument Minimum Data Set 2.0 (RAI-MDS 2.0) assessments for Alberta’s long-term care population. Data from these assessments are used to develop quality indicators. These quality indicators are used for a variety of purposes, including by care providers to monitor trends and improve care, by governments to monitor care, and for public reporting. The purpose of this guide is to improve the understanding and interpretation of the nine publicly-reported quality indicators for long-term care.
